How to Fix Network Connectivity Issues for EPSON and HP Printers

Solution:

  1. Check the printer’s network status
    • On the printer display, go to Settings > Network Settings > Connection Status to check if it is connected.
  2. Restart the printer and router
    • Turn off both the printer and router for 30 seconds, then restart.
  3. Ensure the printer is on the correct network
    • If using Wi-Fi, confirm the printer is connected to the same network as the computers.
    • If using LAN, ensure the Ethernet cable is properly connected.
  4. Check IP address settings
    • Print a Network Configuration Report from the printer’s settings.
    • Compare the IP address with what’s on the computer by typing ping <printer_IP> in Command Prompt.
    • If there’s no response, the printer is not reachable on the network.
  5. Reconfigure the network settings (if needed)
    • Reset the network settings on the printer and reconnect.
    • For Wi-Fi, go to Settings > Network Setup > Wireless Setup Wizard and enter the correct Wi-Fi credentials.
    • For LAN, ensure DHCP is enabled or assign a static IP if required.
  6. Check the firewall & antivirus settings
    • Some security settings may block the printer; allow the printer's IP address through the firewall.
  7. Update printer firmware & drivers
