How to Fix Network Connectivity Issues for EPSON and HP Printers
Solution:
- Check the printer’s network status
- On the printer display, go to Settings > Network Settings > Connection Status to check if it is connected.
- Restart the printer and router
- Turn off both the printer and router for 30 seconds, then restart.
- Ensure the printer is on the correct network
- If using Wi-Fi, confirm the printer is connected to the same network as the computers.
- If using LAN, ensure the Ethernet cable is properly connected.
- Check IP address settings
- Print a Network Configuration Report from the printer’s settings.
- Compare the IP address with what’s on the computer by typing
ping <printer_IP>in Command Prompt. - If there’s no response, the printer is not reachable on the network.
- Reconfigure the network settings (if needed)
- Reset the network settings on the printer and reconnect.
- For Wi-Fi, go to Settings > Network Setup > Wireless Setup Wizard and enter the correct Wi-Fi credentials.
- For LAN, ensure DHCP is enabled or assign a static IP if required.
- Check the firewall & antivirus settings
- Some security settings may block the printer; allow the printer's IP address through the firewall.
- Update printer firmware & drivers
